Background & Certification

Disaster Emergency Services, LLC (DES) was founded in 2022 by Ben Davis and Andy Polacek. After several restoration jobs, they saw an opportunity to provide premium restoration services for disaster situations for a lower cost than the competition with better speed and quality.

DES delivers our services with professionalism and respect for our clients. We simply care more about the quality of the job we do than the competition based on our own personal experiences and it shows in our client interaction and the results. We are a IICRC certified company, Mold Inspection and Mold Remediation certified through MICRO (based on IICRC materials), and a Proud member of the Missouri Assisted Living Association (MALA) and the Mid County Chamber of Commerce.

Benjamin Davis, Managing Director

Ben has been involved in the construction, remodeling, and restoration business for over 25 years. He has done everything from building an addition on a house to remodeling all bathrooms and kitchens in luxury homes.

Ben’s restoration experience started when flash floods in the St. Louis area flooded a series of rental properties of a client in Kirkwood. Ben’s extensive experience and knowledge of restoration work, including cleaning, demolition, drying, repair, and finishing work provide him with the perfect combination to create master plans for restorative services.

Andrew Polacek, Managing Director

Andy is a former finance and tech entrepreneur and a landlord who has learned the business of restoration and repair through years of working on his own rental properties and with Ben, DES’s President. Andy’s background was in finance, tech, and marketing so while involved in the planning and execution of jobs for DES’ clients, he handles a lot of the administrative and operational work as needed.
